One such method is to stir baking soda and water into a thick paste and apply it to the affected area. Let it dry over the course of half an hour. Once dry, simply vacuum the paste from your carpet or furniture. It’s a simple, but not always effective way of removing smaller stains.
For lingering stains, rub white shaving cream into the affected area, let sit for 30 minutes. Dab area with a wet cloth, then let the area air dry. Remember, only use white shaving cream and never shave gels. Before trying out this method on carpets/furniture, test shaving cream on a less visible area – carpeting covered by furniture or the bottom side of a couch cushion, for example – to ensure your brand of cream doesn’t leave additional stains.
